The AK-47 is a symbol of freedom, perseverance, and frightening radical revolutionary change, but as well it is a very commonly seen weapon in the hands of the enemy therefore I'm not to quick to be excited by any AK. Matter of fact if it weren't for the promotional price I would have never even bought mine, but after seeing it's performance I'm very glad I did after all.
The weapon is a very, very simple, inexpensive to produce, and can be bought from amongst dirty greasy piles of AK-47 type rifles for as little as 15$ a pop in the eastern part of the world.
They will never fail to fire, and any body in their right mind would own one due to their battle hardened proven reliability for just in case the shit were to hit the fan. Just when they say it'll never happen it's already to late.
When I purchased my AK-WASR, it was only $320, and it came with many accessories: 2 - 30rnd mags, mag pouch, sling, cleaning kit as well the ammo was about 130$ a create of 1000 rnds. Today 1000 rounds cost about 240$ delivered in a good deal as well they're mostly sold out. Recent catastrophes, wars, and word of the government repeating negativity from the past has scared a huge buying of ammo.
The AK-WASR's origins are of Romania, and they're not to popular for their heritage.
Rifle out of the box:
For the record: these wholesale collectible types of rifles don't come out of the box appealing at all. They must be cleaned of a perseverative that they're nearly soaked in to prevent oxidation type damages, and it isn't a simple task. After cleaning my Enfield, I knew that I needed a better cosmoline removal technique so after some research I came up with baking my rifle's parts so therefore to do so I made a special oven just for heat treat cleaning my rifles.
This worked especially excellent for wood furniture, and has been a great success all the way threw. Now I use this technique for cleaning every c&r rifle I buy.
