German, origins from the last 1800s, used in both WWs, and it was nearly copied by the world due to the advantages it posed over all others; even until this day mauser action is still favored by many. 

Mine is a Russian, captured rifle, and was made by the manufacturer byf (don't ask).

After playing MOHAA, I knew that I wanted to get my hands on a mauser. 

This gun came from a gun show, and its bore had me buy it, because it almost looked brand new. Going by the market for bores in mausers today I'm very glad that I did buy this rifle.
